We are hiring a Seismic Data Analyst to join our Houston team

We are looking for a seismic data analyst with a specialization in QI and/or AVO processing. We seek a customer oriented, energetic and creative problem solver who appreciates the impact that data quality makes on analytical results. You will join an integrated amplitude interpretation team and use state-of-the-art high-performance software tools.

Your responsibilities

You will work alongside a global team of geophysical experts to deliver exemplary technical services. You will not work alone, but will team up with colleagues to develop creative and compelling service offerings that merge your amazing experience and our innovative software. With your passion for problem solving, your analytical mindset and your ability to distill complex ideas into clear messages, you will become a trusted advisor to our clients. Our goal is to be a strategic partner and to help our clients make informed decisions and achieve their business goals.

  • Understand client business needs and technical challenges and offer customized solutions
  • Contribute to the process of scoping and planning new projects
  • Manage client communications and expectations
  • Execute and deliver seismic reservoir characterization (SRC) service projects
  • Co-develop and deliver expert-level workflow training for clients
  • Monitor service quality and customer satisfaction
  • Develop and implement SRC workflows that build on our technology and experience
  • Provide expert practitioner feedback to our software development team
  • Build relationships with existing clients by seeking opportunities to broaden their understanding and use of our software. This may include onsite consulting, release roadshows, regular webinars, and developing trade show demo programs.

Your qualifications

  • Experience as a reservoir geophysicist for an oil and gas operator. (Note: your curiosity, interest and passion for what we do may be just as interesting as many years of experience.)
  • Practical experience with pre-stack seismic data processing and quality control, amplitude interpretation (AVO, QI), attributes screening and pre-stack seismic inversion
  • Applied knowledge of time-lapse and/or azimuthal seismic (a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Collaborative, independent, creative thinker who knows when to seek guidance from peers
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new software. Prior exposure to PreStack Pro (a plus).
  • Willing to work flexible hours that span multiple time zones
