Please join us from the comfort of your own work environment, be it at home or your office, for an interactive, rewarding, educational and stimulating course.

You will be guided by our knowledgeable team through a complex, but typical, quantitative interpretation project, investigating the seismic response of a heterogeneous reservoir. You will be tasked to create, test and interpret QI attributes, as well as review their merits and pitfalls. Videos, accompanying the course, cover the detailed theory behind all of the workflows. These can be watched at your convenience, leaving you more time for hands-on activities.

Pre-stack data analysis using PreStack Pro unlocks all collected trace data. The software allows you to analyse and interpret your prospects and reservoirs more quantitatively; confidently predicting lithology and fluid-fill. Gather unique insight to data quality, with the capability to process and condition seismic for detailed attribute analysis that you will never extract from a stack volume.

PreStack Pro’s scalable HPC platform allows you to efficiently reduce interpretation and reservoir uncertainty by interrogating gather volumes that are routinely 100 times larger than a single stack and datasets in four and sometimes five dimensions.

Hardware requirements

You don’t need a supercomputer to process the data sets. We will test your environment together beforehand – here’s what you will need:

  • An up-to-date browser (eg Chrome, Safari, Firefox) with a stable internet connection (>15Mb/s)
  • Ability to install HP Remote Graphics Software – download for free here for PC or here for MAC
  • Ability to use Teams video-conference application
  • A reasonable desktop/screen area (minimum 1920 x 1080), but to get the best experience we recommend two screens.
  • Ability to display or print PDF guide to follow while working.
  • Ability to view MP4-video files.
  • A microphone and speaker or headphones.
