Seismic feasibility and sensitivity analysis gets a boost in this release. The upgraded and streamlined parametric modeling tool speeds up the creation of a representative 1D model and allows interactive exploration of the prestack seismic effects of any changes, including reservoir pressure and fluid saturation. Now you can confidently predict prestack seismic response in single- and multivintage seismic data, and directly relate elastic property changes to inversion results.

The parametric modeler allows the user to test and analyze production effects such as pressure, saturation and thickness changes.

This entirely new tool computes time shifts between seismic events in multivintage, prestack or poststack time-lapse images. It uses the NL1D algorithm from research partner ETLP (Edinburgh Time-Lapse Project). Interactive previews allow quick fine-tuning of the industry-standard nonlinear inversion algorithm, and allows users to perform quality control, quickly interpret production effects, and plan infill wells with greater certainty.

Pressure and saturation changes can cause the observed amplitude changes. By analyzing prestack seismic data, the effects of pressure and saturation variations on seismic amplitude changes can be separated.

Exploring for prospects using seismic data that covers an entire basin, or maturing fields using legacy baseline surveys, often requires users to handle seismic data acquired in different coordinate systems. Often, lack of time or money prohibits reprocessing to a common grid. Not anymore. The new mega-merger functionality lets users load seismic and velocity volumes from different surveys, re-grid them to a common coordinate system, and merge them—many terabytes at a time—to achieve interpretation results more quickly.
